The fourth North American edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit will take place in New York City. Taking place at the Intercontinental New York Barclay on 16-18 May 2013, the summit will once again bring together some of the leading organizations involved in sustainability in the cosmetics industry. Focal themes of this new edition are novel green ingredients, marketing developments and consumer behavior. For the first time, a summit will look at ways of reducing the environmental footprint of cosmetic products by using green ingredients and encouraging sustainable consumption. As in previous editions, case studies will be given of organizations at the cutting edge of sustainable development. More details

Organized by Organic Monitor, the aim of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit is to encourage sustainability in the beauty industry by bringing together key stake-holders and debate these major issues in a high-level forum.

The 2012 North American edition of the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit took place in New York on 17-19th May 2012. The North American summit brought together over 180 executives from the cosmetics industry to discuss key sustainability issues.
